Kicking yard-stalking weeds to the curb in Charleston since 2011!  Weed Man Lawn Care provides responsible fertilizer, weed control, insect and disease controls to grass lawns throughout the year.  As a lawn care technician, you get to work outside and see all the beauty that the Lowcountry has to offer.  We appreciate our employees and have their backs.  We have a great group of technicians that put in the work to get to see how a lawn can transform from meh to fantastic.

The first two months, annual salary is $38,500 ($740/week). After the training period (typically two months), salary is moved to $40,000 ($770/week). Typical workday is Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, with optional Saturdays. Potential to make $50,000+ annually.

Weed Man Charleston is looking for teammates who have:

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 3+ years of a clean driving record and insurable under our company provider and can pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from work and are punctual.
• The ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions. (Except when hurricanes make landfall in Charleston!).
• A professional appearance.
• A positive attitude and are polite and respectful.
• Problem-solving skills and are efficient.
• The ability to lift or carry 50+ pounds.
• The ability to work independently on the road.

Beginning Position Details – What the training period looks like:

• Assist in getting the truck ready for the day
• Learn the ins and outs of how to successfully apply products to a lawn the Weed Man way
• Learn how to be the most efficient when applying applications
• Learn the quirks of properties, grasses, weeds, and the growing environment
• Maintain a clean work truck

Responsibilities after Training:

• Get truck ready for the day
• Complete daily routes of treating lawns
• Identify and spot-spray weeds
• Take notice and communicate with homeowners and the office if additional attention is needed for lawns
• Complete end-of-day paperwork to ensure the production truck is ready for the next day
• Maintain a clean work truck
• One day-to-day chore in the shop (for example: vacuuming, wiping down railings, sweeping stairs, taking out trash, etc)
